Knot Guide:Climbing 1.1 by Winkpass
Just like the bigger brother Knot Guide, Winkpass has done a beautiful job with this. I have the main Knot Guide (2 or 3 dollars more), and wanted a short list of safest knots for occasional solid connections. I do not climb, but I am what might be called a "knot nut" (more than 10 knot books in my library), and this is a really good, easy to access presentation of the knots appearance and how to tie it, with a short description of the uses and peculiarities of each knot youre looking at. Also, Winkpass keeps improving the main Knot Guide, adding more and different knots, with good pictures and diagrams, and I assume they will be equally good with this app, with the proviso that any knots will be appropriate for climbing. I have zero association with Winkpass-Im just impressed with the interface, photos, and clean layout, and I wrote this to tell other knot nuts and tiers about a really nice product. Both this and the big brother Knot Guide are well worth even a lot more. Well Done!
hmmm...
While I appreciate the ease of use and step by step pictures which seem more practical than other Knot guides which use a video format, I was disappointed that this guide did not provide a lesson on the munter hitch a very commonly used belay knot. Hopefully, it will appear in future program development...otherwise, a decent app
